Monaco Bobcat was rescued with 3 other bobcats in the fall of 2022. They all live together and are settling into the sanctuary life. Monaco enjoys hanging out with her bobcat companions but has an independent streak also and will venture to other parts of her sanctuary without them.

How Monaco Came to the Sanctuary
Monaco was rescued along with 3 other bobcats, JJ, Rio, and Cairo, from a private owner in Texas. They were brought to Carolina Tiger Rescue by another facility, In-Sync Exotics and did great on the 17 hour trip.

Personality
Monaco enjoys hanging out with her companions but is also seen doing her own thing at times. She sometimes gives the keepers a hard time by not shifting when they want her to, but she is a cat, so that's not out of the norm. Monaco often eats second after Cairo and like most cats, she never turns down food.

Description
Monaco is the larger of the two females in this four bobcat group. She is very fluffy and has lots of grey fur.

Where in Sanctuary
Monaco lives off tour, currently, with enclosure mates Rio, JJ, and Cairo. She lives in Pear Orchard next to Molly Bobcat and across the path from Star Cougar.

Wild Animals as Pets
Wild animals are not pets nor can the wild be loved out of them. Bobcats are also illegal to own in most states because they are native to most states. We are thankful the owner knew the best place for Monaco and the others was at Carolina Tiger Rescue.
