Carolina Tiger Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildlife sanctuary whose mission is saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild.
It’s not uncommon for us to receive livestock donations. If an animal is sick or has passed because of old age, farmers may contact us to see if we can take that animal. Our animal care team is able to butcher on site and distribute pieces to our residents. Most times, though, our animals get chicken. We thaw it out the previous day as needed. Some grocery stores also donate meat to us that we can freeze. We have ground meat for animals who can’t digest the whole carcass diet provided.
