Carolina Tiger Rescue is excited to offer a new program only for home school students in middle school! This program gives students a glimpse of what it takes to care for the animals at Carolina Tiger Rescue, in 4 areas. Students will spend a morning on each of the following topics: Animal Behavior– What is it and how can understanding it help us better care for animals?; Enclosure Design and Enrichment– What requirements have to be met to house large and small carnivores? What does it take to keep our animals physically and mentally healthy?; Vet Care– What happens when an animal gets sick? How do we care for aging animals? What challenges does our animal care staff face with our animals in terms of health?; Problems in the Wild– What problems do the wild cousins of our residents face? What can we do to help?

This fast-paced, STEM-centered program is sure to keep your student engaged while learning about unique challenges that arise when caring for large and small wild cats!
