In April of 2022, Carolina Tiger Rescue became the 50th facility to join the Red Wolf SAFE Program, a program run by U.S. Fish & Wildlife dedicated to saving the endangered red wolf from extinction. We welcomed Caroline and Mist, two young females, who will live with us until they reach the appropriate age for breeding. Our role within the program is to help free up space at other facilities for the continuation of the SAFE Program.
