Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Carolina Tiger Rescue. Volunteers play a vital role in our organization and perform a number of important jobs. While volunteering is a commitment and can often be hard work, it’s also extremely rewarding and a great learning experience.
Below you will find brief job descriptions for the various individual volunteer opportunities at Carolina Tiger Rescue. The job descriptions will give you more insight into specific duties, age requirements, and the minimum time requirements.
Volunteer of the Year
Congratulations to Ian T! He is our 2026 Volunteer of the Year, and we couldn’t be more excited to honor his hard work and commitment.
Ian has been volunteering with Carolina Tiger Rescue for a few years now, and in that time, he’s helped with nearly every aspect of the organization. He’s a dedicated Animal Care volunteer and summer camp counselor; he’s led tours, helped with annual gift shop inventory, assisted our Site team with sanctuary projects, and more. He has given more than 1,000 hours of his time to our animals, guests, and mission. Even his “real job” centers around animal conservation and education! He lives the sanctuary’s values every day, and we are honored that he’s chosen Carolina Tiger as his volunteer home base. Thank you, Ian! You’re the best!
