Operant Tours are a special opportunity to observe how we train animals at the sanctuary. We never share space with dangerous animals, so what does training through a fence look like? How do we get certain behaviors? Why do we do it? All of this will be answered on your tour!
Tour tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Each tour is limited to 10 people. We recommend getting your tickets early as these tours sell out.
Your Operant Tour will last for about 1 ½ to 2 hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Our trained guides will start with a presentation about what operant conditioning is and why we do it. Then, you will go on a tour, stopping a couple of enclosures along the way to observe training sessions with the animals. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos, but you will not have any physical contact with the animals.
