It has been an exciting month at the sanctuary, and we have some big news to share with you all! Occasionally the circumstances of a particular rescue dictate that we do not discuss or share information about certain animals that come to call Carolina Tiger Rescue home. This is done to protect the animals as well as the nature of the legal cases surrounding them and requires us to keep them a secret. Once the safety of the animals is ensured and the legal cases have come to a close, the secret can come out and we can share these animals and their stories with you all!

With that being said, we can finally introduce you all to five animals that have called Carolina Tiger Rescue home since the summer of 2019! Meet Bud, Poppy, Tulip, and Clover Coatimundis and Fabio von Prickles, the African Crested Porcupine! They made their way to Carolina Tiger Rescue during the summer of 2019 after being rescued from a roadside zoo in Quebec, Canada.
Approximately 200 animals were seized from this facility after the owner was charged with several animal welfare violations. The SPCA noted that the living conditions at this zoo were some of the worst they had ever seen with many animals in dire need of a better quality of life. We are so glad that we were able to provide a better quality of life for these five amazing animals and are grateful for all the support and generosity of our volunteers and donors that help make rescues like these possible.

All five of these amazing animals have settled into their homes here at Carolina Tiger Rescue and it has been so nice to get to know their unique personalities over the past 2.5 years. We are so excited to share more about them with our entire Carolina Tiger Rescue family!
