Carolina Tiger Rescue is excited to offer a new program only for home school students in middle school! This program gives students a glimpse of what it takes to care for the animals at Carolina Tiger Rescue, in 4 areas. Students will spend a morning on each of the following topics: Enrichment-What is it and what does it take to keep our animals physically and mentally healthy?; Enclosure Design-What requirements have to be met to house large and small carnivores?; Vet Care-What happens when an animal gets sick? How do we care for aging animals? What challenges does our animal care staff face with our animals in terms of health?; Problems in the Wild-What problems do the wild cousins of our residents face? What can we do to help?
This fast-paced, STEM-centered program is sure to keep your student engaged while learning about unique challenges that arise when caring for large and small wild cats!
