Dr. Lamar Hunter has just joined the Carolina Tiger Rescue team as a wildlife veterinarian. After he graduated from NC State’s vet school, Dr. Hunter studied under Dr. Angela Lassiter at Carolina Tiger Rescue. He helps with physicals, medical procedures, and loves seeing the animals improve under the care of the awesome vets at the rescue. Dr. Hunter enjoys working with all the animals at Carolina Tiger Rescue, but his favorite is the lions.

It’s giving Tuesday today and we want to share with you all about this special day and why it is so important to the Carolina Tiger Rescue family. Giving Tuesday started in 2012 as a simple idea, a day that encourages people to do good. Over the years, giving Tuesday has grown into an independent nonprofit and worldwide movement that encourages people to give to others, work together and celebrate generosity.

Carolina Tiger Rescue is a nonprofit organization that relies on donations from generous donors to care for the animals we rescue. During this giving Tuesday campaign, we are hoping to raise funds for a large cat enclosure. We never know when we will get the call for a rescue and having this enclosure rescue ready allows us to act quickly and ensures that our rescues have a large, spacious enclosure when they arrive at the sanctuary. We would not be able to care for and rescue these amazing animals without our generous donors and we are grateful for days like giving Tuesday that allow us to raise funds for the animals in our care.
