High School Community Service

High School Community Service

Carolina Tiger Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildlife sanctuary whose mission is saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild.

Carolina Tiger Rescue offers several opportunities for completing High School Community Service Hours. You are able to complete as many hours as you need in the areas of office work, construction, and gift shop. Your service is a selfless act that directly impacts the lives of the animals here at Carolina Tiger Rescue.

Below you will find a brief job description of the different high school volunteer opportunities. The job descriptions will give you more insight into specific duties, age requirements (16+), and the minimum time requirements. All volunteers under the age of 18 will need to download and print out a copy of our Minor Release Form and have it filled out by your parent or legal guardian. You will be required to have this form with you at the time of your orientation.

Gift Shop & Office

Office Support Volunteers perform many important jobs such as data entry, answering phones, filing paperwork, and preparing mailings. Office Volunteers also staff our gift shop on weekends and help with general housekeeping duties.

Construction

Construction Volunteers assist with a variety of construction, maintenance, and grounds keeping tasks such as various yard work, building new enclosures, and dismantling old structures.  Construction Volunteers also aid in supervising youth and adult volunteer groups from local schools, clubs, and businesses.

If you have any questions about our high school volunteer opportunities, contact our volunteer coordinator, Maryssa Hill.
